Flux is the capstone, nationally recognized, award-winning student publication at the University of Oregon. This issue, Beyond the Binary, was a 2018 Associated Collegiate Press Pacemaker Award Finalist. As a designer, I worked with a team to create spreads for the print magazine, which was centered around the themes of gender and masculinity.
na koa
Na Koa is a digital-magazine I founded during my time with Ka Leo o Na Koa, the journalism program at Kamehameha Schools Maui (KSM). The first issue was created entirely by myself as part of my senior project. The magazine was later incorporated into the production cycle at KSM and is still being published today. The cover image of Na Koa, Issue 1, featuring Imaikalani DeVault, won a Superior Gold award at the 2015 Journalism Education Association National Journalism Competition in Denver, Colorado.
